If you've tried to log in to your Frame website and you are not getting access, don't worry — this is a normal security feature, not a sign that anything is wrong with your account. Frame temporarily restricts access after several failed login attempts to protect your site from unauthorized access.
Here's what's happening and what you can do about it.
What Triggers a Lockout?
If 5 incorrect login attempts are made from the same internet connection (IP address, website) within a 10-minute window, Frame will temporarily block that connection from trying again.
How Long Does the Lockout Last?
The length of the block depends on how many times it's happened today:
Situation | Duration |
|---|---|
First time being blocked today (or fewer than 5 blocks total today) | 10 minutes |
Blocked 5 or more times within the same day | 1 week |
In most cases, waiting 10 minutes and trying again is all you need to do. The week-long block is rare — it only kicks in if your connection has been blocked five separate times in a single day, which can happen if someone repeatedly enters the wrong password without realizing it.
What should I do if I'm locked out?
Wait 10 minutes. For most lockouts, this is all it takes. Set a timer and come back — the block lifts automatically.
Double-check your password before trying again. If you're unsure of your password, reset it before your next attempt — this avoids triggering another block.
Reset your password if needed. On the login page, click "Forgot your password?" and follow the steps sent to your email.
Contact Adventist Connect support for a week-long block. If you believe you've been blocked for a week, reach out to our team and we'll help get you back in.
Why does Frame do this?
Your church website may contain sensitive information — member contacts, event details, or internal communications. Frame's login protection helps prevent strangers from guessing their way into your site by trying many passwords in a short period of time.
Think of it like a door that locks itself if someone rattles the handle too many times. It's there to protect you, not to make things harder.
Still stuck?
If you've waited and are still unable to log in, contact the Adventist Connect support team. We're happy to help.
