Resetting your WordPress password can be accomplished in several ways. While clicking the "Lost your password?" link on the login page is typically the simplest approach, sometimes you'll need alternative methods—particularly when email issues arise.
Below are various password reset options available to you. The best method will depend on what type of access you currently have to your website.
Changing Your Password:
Here's how to update your password in WordPress:
- Go to Users > All Users in your Administration Screen.
- Find and click on your username.
- Scroll to the New Password section and click Generate Password.
- You can use the generated password or create your own in the box provided. The strength indicator will show how secure your password is.
- Click Update User to save your changes.
Your password will be updated immediately!
Through the automatic emailer:
If you know your username or email address, you can easily reset your password:
- Visit your WordPress login page (https://yoursite/adventistconnect.org/wp-login.php)
- Click the "Lost your password?" link
- Enter your username or email address in the form
- Check your email for the password reset link
- After logging in with your temporary password, go to your profile page to set a new password you'll remember
