Why We Use the GDPR Plugin

To protect website visitors and the organizations operating Frame-powered sites, we include this plugin as a standard feature. It ensures transparency and reduces legal risk by handling cookie consent and data privacy requirements across all Frame websites.

The plugin provides:

  • Clear and customizable cookie consent banners

  • Conditional loading of scripts based on user consent

  • Automatic cookie blocking until consent is explicitly provided

Centralized Management

To maintain consistency and ensure compliance across the platform, Site Admin users do not have access to view or modify the plugin's configuration. All settings are managed centrally by the Adventist Connect Support Team.

This approach prevents misconfiguration and ensures the implementation of best practices regarding data privacy.

Adding Third-Party Scripts or Tools

If you plan to use any third-party JavaScript-based tools—such as:

  • Chat widgets

  • Analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics)

  • Video embeds

  • External forms or trackers

...you must contact the Adventist Connect Support Team before adding them to your site.

These tools may:

  • Set cookies

  • Track users across sessions

  • Collect personal data (either actively or passively)

To remain compliant with privacy laws, our support team will evaluate your request and, if appropriate, implement the scripts through the GDPR plugin framework. This ensures that consent is obtained before any data is collected or cookies are stored.

By managing this process centrally and requiring support review for external scripts, Frame helps protect your website and its visitors—ensuring a safe, transparent, and legally compliant experience for everyone.
