How It Works

When you update content on your site—such as editing a post or page—this plugin sends a request to the proxy caching layer asking it to clear the old version. This ensures your changes show immediately to visitors.

It automatically purges cache for:

• The edited post or page

• The front page

• Related categories, tags, or taxonomies

• Associated RSS feeds

• JSON API endpoints related to the content

The entire cache will also be purged if:

• You change the site's theme

• You click the Empty Cache button from the admin toolbar

Plugins can also hook into the purge process to trigger their own cache-clearing actions if needed.

Do I Need to Do Anything?

No. The Proxy Cache Purge plugin is already installed and activated on your Frame site. It runs automatically in the background and requires no setup or maintenance from site administrators.

You may occasionally see a banner message when content is updated—this simply confirms that the cache purge occurred successfully.

Why This Matters
