Gravity Forms Plugin
If you have a previously saved form file—perhaps from another site or as a backup—you can easily import it into Gravity Forms. This is especially helpful for reusing ministry forms like prayer requests, event registrations, or school applications.

Heads up: You’ll need to have already exported your form as a .json
file using Gravity Forms. If you haven’t done that yet, check out our guide on exporting forms. Keep in mind—only Gravity Forms .json
files can be imported. Files from other form tools won’t work here.
Log into your WordPress admin area.
In the left-hand menu, navigate to:
Forms > Import/Export
On the Import/Export page, select the Import Forms tab from the left sidebar.
Click the Select Files button.
Choose the .json
file you previously exported using Gravity Forms.
✅ Note: The file must be a valid Gravity Forms export file with a .json
extension.
If your form includes image-based options (like the Image Choice field) or uses Conversational Mode, you’ll have the option to import those images into your WordPress media library.
To do this, check the box labeled:
“Import images used in this form into your media library”
Click the Import button to begin the upload process.
Once complete, your form will be added to the list of forms and ready for customization.
